We at Strong Towns ABQ are advocating for NO BUILD. A comment that you could submit could say something like:
Expanding the highway will not reduce traffic. I do not want to see the highway expanded, and I advocate for no build.

The city council to vote on the duplex amendment is on Tuesday, 6/3. We will send out an email once the link to submit a comment is live. If you can’t make it to the meeting, you can submit a written comment.
As a reminder, the duplex amendment is proposing to change zoning code to allow for duplexes to be created from already existing structures in a small geographic area of the city. This zone is along transit corridors and commerce centers. Check out this map. Inside the encircled area is where the zoning change would occur. It is IMPERATIVE that everyone reach out to their councilor and ask them to pass this amendment. We have created a policy summary page that is attached to this email - feel free to share!

Descriptions of the roles will be finalized and posted on the website ASAP.
The details of the elections are still coming together, so if you are interested please stay tuned as we figure this out!

Other jobs ad hoc - if you have a special skill, let us know!
Leadership roles require a time commitment and follow through, so we ask that only people who are serious about the role apply.
Reach out if you have specific questions!
Join us for a presentation by ABQ Ride Forward at Flock of Moons on 6/19/24 at 6pm.
Public transit can play a critical role in providing access to jobs and services and shaping the way streets function and cities develop. Over the last two years, ABQ RIDE has reviewed its existing bus transit system and gathered input on ways to improve the City of Albuquerque’s bus transit system.
Come hear planners discuss the proposed “Recovery Network” and the future of transit in Albuquerque. Learn more about the project at abqrideforward.com.
